Field hockey game rescheduled
The Lady Bengals' field hockey playoff game against Richard Montgomery has been rescheduled for Monday, November 1st, at 6 PM. Come out and support the Lady Bengals!

Lady Bengals move on
The Blake Lady Bengals defeated Sherwood by a 1-0 score last night. Blake dominated play from the beginning, limiting the Lady Warriors' offense to a handful of opportunities. After a dangerous Sherwood fast break was blocked by goalie Elizabeth Hoff and cleared by the defense with 6 minutes to go, Jen Hagen scored the game winner. The Lady Bengals are tentatively scheduled to play Richard Montgomery on Tuesday at 7 PM.
Boys' soccer falls
The Bengals boys' soccer team fell to Gaithersburg by a 1-0 score. Gaithersburg scored with time runningout in the first half. Despite some good chances in the second half, including a shot off the Gaithersburg cross bar, the Bengals were unable to score the equalizer.

Playoffs start tonight
Blake's Lady Bengals field hockey team opens the play-offs against Sherwood at 6 PM. As the region's number 1 seed, the Lady Bengals will play all their games at home.
The boys' soccer team plays at home against Gaithersburg at 7 PM.

Field Hockey tournament brackets announced
The Blake Lady Bengals will be playing the Sherwood Lady Warriors in the first round of the Maryland State Field Hockey Tournament. The Lady Bengals are the Number 1 seed in the South. For all the details, go to http://www.mpssaa.org and click on "Tournaments."

Tennis team records best season in school history!
Led by Coach Pigrom, the girls tennis team went 7-5 for this year, the best the team has done since the school opened. Freshman first singles player, Sarah Monsheimer went 10-2 for the season and had a first round bye. She was undefeated against Division 2 and 3 players. Her only losses were to Division 1 players from Wooten and Walter Johnson. Congatulations!
