Three Lady Bengals honored by The Gazette
The Gazette has recognized 3 Blake field hockey athletes as top players in Montgomery County. Rebecca Mondonedo and Rachel Schexnayder made the All-Gazette first team. Their picture will be featured in this Wednesday's Gazette. Megan Hanagan also earned Honorable Mention honors from the Gazette. Congratulations!

Lady Bengals Fall in Regional Final
In the 4A South Regional final, the Lady Bengals lost to Whitman by a score of 4-1. Despite the loss, the team had a lot to celebrate.
- Earning the number 1 seed in the 4A South Region
- Highest number of goals (4) in a game (M. Hanagan)
- 6 shutouts during the season
- 12 wins for the season, the most in Blake's field hockey history
- Lowest number of goals (17) allowed in a season.
- Highest number of goals (43) scored in a season
The Lady Bengals came from the lowest rankings in the county to become one of the top, most competitive teams in the county. Congratulations!

In a thrilling 5-game match, the Lady Bengals defeated Richard Montgomery to move into the second round of the playoffs.

Field Hockey moves forward - Lady Bengals beat tough Richard Montgomery squad
With Tuesday's 2-1 win over Richard Montgomery, the Lady Bengals moved into the 4A South Regional finals, where they will face Walt Whitman. Rachel Schexnayder scored one goal and an assist to help lead Blake to their 12th win this season. Megan Hanagan scored the game-winner, her 16th goal of the season! The Lady Bengals will host Whitman at 6 PM on Thursday, November 4 (tentative) at Blake, for the Regional Title and the right to go to the state tournament.
